Three county residents in critical condition |
Jordan Olivaris, 10, Five Points, was in
critical condition Sunday at Children's Hospital with head injuries suffered in a crash late Friday afternoon.
The
driver of the car, his sister, Brittni Olivaris, 17, was released from the hospital Sunday afternoon.
Two New Holland
sisters remained in critical condition at Children's Hospital following a two-vehicle accident Friday morning.
Samantha
Orihood, 18, was suffering from head and pelvic injuries. Her sister, Haley Bennington, 13, was suffering from lung, rib and
spleen injuries.
While still critical, Bennington's condition was upgraded to stable Sunday evening.

killed Friday in car accident SOUTH BLOOMFIELD - Multiple
injuries suffered in a rear-end collision took the life of a local man Friday in the last of four serious traffic accidents
on Pickaway County roads that day.
Walter Bryant, 63, Circleville, was pronounced dead - the first traffic fatality
of the year - at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. The cause of death will not be determined until an autopsy is completed,
but Bryant was being treated for multiple injuries suffered 9 p.m. Friday in an accident on U.S. Route 23 north of the intersection
of state Route 752.
The driver of the other vehicle, Michael S. McKeivier, 46, Circleville, was charged with operating
a vehicle while intoxicated, aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to maintain assured clear distance. He was released
on bail from the Pickaway County Jail on Friday night.
The accident occurred when Bryant and Carolyn Bryant, 56, were
traveling south in a 1997 Chevrolet hatchback. The vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2004 Cadillac driven by McKeivier.
Mrs.
Bryant was taken by Scioto Township EMS to Grant Hospital, where she was treated for injuries. McKeivier was checked at the
scene for injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office pending a conference
today with the Circleville law director Gary Kenworthy and someone from the Pickaway County Prosecutor's office.
Deputies
Curtis Fortner and Casey Thress were assisted at the crash scene by units from the South Bloomfield Police Department and
from the Circleville post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Note** - Contrary to statements, the area in which the accident occured is located in the Village of South Bloomfield, who
annexed USR 23 southbound from north of MP 18 in 2002. Although South Bloomfield Officers were first to arrive on the scene,
an order was made to release the accident investigation to PCSO.
