Delaware Police Bike Class Attendees
The South Bloomfield Police Department now sends Officers through the IPMBA
certified training held routinely on behalf of the Delaware Police Department
This year Sgt. Robert Dauberman, Officer Kristopher Kersbergen, and Officer Stephanie Habecker attended the class in
May, and spent over 20 hours of the 40 hour class on bike.
As a result of the high recommendation this course received by attending officers, 2-4 additional officers will be
attending the course in September. The class assists officers in slow movement skills, ascending and descending stairs, obstacle
avoidance, suspect pursuit and apprehension, maintenance, traffic safety, firearms, defensive tactics, and night riding skills.
This is a very detailed, active, and aggressive course. This course comes highly recommended by this agency and we
would suggest any agency with bike officers or officers interested in creating a bike patrol to attend this course.
